For her part, Shy does a nice job. She focuses on the camera nicely throughout the segments, but at times it got a little scary because she rarely seems to blink. Technically, Shy Love’s Cum Play With Me leaves a bit to be desired. To start with, there’s the menu choices. They’re lined up on the right side of the screen in a contrasting color that’s very easy to see. This is normally a good thing, but here they’re so big and stand out so much that my eye was frequently drawn away from Shy and to the menu instead. It also makes the screen look slightly cluttered by having things like two angle indicators. There’s a little text that says “Angle X” that lets you know which of the two angles you’re viewing as well as having “Angle” and “1 / 2" below it where you can click on either number to view that angle. This isn’t a bad idea, but being that you can do that with the remote you have in your hand almost the entire time you watch this release it seems more than a little redundant. The only really good thing I can say about the menu is that it’s located to where it rarely covers up much of Shy. The menus definitely need to be trimmed back.

The other technical feature here that needs work is the segments themselves. The segments range from about two and a half minutes to about four and a half minutes, with the orgasm sequences frequently lasting about a minute. That’s a nice length, but there are several problems with them. To start with, the camera angle doesn’t always go with a POV angle for the main angle, such as when it goes at about a forty five degree angle from the penetration for the doggie fucking. The looping is also a problem. Although Shy does a nice job with a short introduction to each segment and puts a little effort in to bring each segment to a close, they loop completely. This means there are problems at both ends. With an interactive release, I want to feel in control. If I want to watch Shy tease me with her tits, I don’t want to see her strip down and listen to her give her introduction every time the segment starts over, and I sure don’t want to see that after Shy says something about being done. It’s even worse if there’s an orgasm sequence available for a segment, as it automatically moves through the orgasm and then goes back to the start.

Speaking of orgasms, each and every one of them here is the real deal. That doesn’t mean, however, that they’re all unique. Tommy Gunn provides the cock for Shy to work on, and he gives her a real pop for each sex position as well as the foreplay segments. He lets Shy have a facial that’s reused for each foreplay option with Shy giving, and a pop for missionary, cowgirl, and doggie that gets used for both the vaginal action and the anal action. It’s handled pretty well for the fuck sequences, but it’s more than a little obvious that it’s being reused for the foreplay segments. I’m thrilled that Shy and Madness decided to use all real pops, and I have to give Tommy a lot of credit for being able to unload four times. The pops would be great if it weren’t quite so obvious that the sequences were being reused.

Although Shy Love’s Cum Play With Me has plenty of faults, I can’t help but think that it’s a pretty impressive initial virtual sex release. Shy does a very nice job of trying to make the interactive experience as personal as possible, and for the most part, the camera work is nicely done. I also like the widescreen format and that real popshots were used for every orgasm sequence. Unfortunately, the technical design of Cum Play With Me holds things back by badly looping the segments and working the orgasms into each loop rather than making them just on call. Cum Play With Me has some decent sized problems for an interactive release, but shows enough potential that if Madness Pictures can fix them in their next interactive release they’re really going to turn out a great release.

The Shy Love’s Cum Play With Me DVD Extra Stuff

To start with, you get a few extra virtual options with Shy. There’s also behind the scenes types of options such as a photo shoot featurette, an interview with Shy, and outtakes. The slide show lasts roughly four minutes with about six seconds per very nice looking snapshot that peels away very well. Trailers are included for Cum Play with Me, 12 Nasty Girls Masturbating 4, Ass Driven 2, 12 Cum Hungry Cocksuckers, Security Cam Chronicles, Malibu’s Most Latin, Getting Stoned 2, and Valley Girls 2. There’s also credits and weblinks.

To start off the major extras, you get three extra virtual options with Shy, complete with two different angles. First, you can spank Shy, which lasts about two minutes. She’ll also strip for you, which lasts nearly six minutes as she works out of her outfit from the main menu and dances around a chair as you hope and pray that Shy comes to a strip club near you. You can also massage Shy’s ass, tits, or feet for between two and a half to three and three quarter minutes. It’s a very nice collection of segments, and they each make a nice extra. The only complaint I can think of having here is that when each segment finishes it just loops back to the start rather than going to somewhere in the middle to keep the segment flowing better.

The outtakes last about seven minutes. After an interview from the “new” Shy, the old Shy does a little dance and goofs off a bit. You get to hear about Tommy’s finger and some of his scars, see Shy go swimming, and see Shy mess up her lines. There’s also more than a little fun from on the set. It’s a great collection of outtakes that’s fun and gives plenty of personality.

The interview with Shy Love lasts about four and a half minutes. Shy starts out talking about doing an auction for a date with her to coincide with the DVD with all proceeds going to a cancer society, which is pretty darn cool. She talks about how fans can contact her and find out more about her, as well as being a dork. Shy talks about how she got into the business, why there’s an anal section in the video, her crew for the movie, and her appreciation for her fans. It’s a pretty good interview that’s worth checking out if you want to learn a bit about Shy.

The photo shoot featurette lasts nearly fifteen minutes. This featurette is simply Shy posing and being posed for her still photos with some slightly shaky camera work. This featurette got very long for me, mostly because there’s no music so you don’t get to hear if Shy’s joking around or any other comments that are happening.

The featurettes are all presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. In the middle of the right side of the screen you have the option to go back to either the extras menu or the main menu. This is an okay idea, but the placement is horrible and makes one wonder why somebody didn’t decide to put them down in the black bars. The links to the main and extra menus interfered with each of the featurettes for me.
